Healthy Chocolate Mug Cake Recipe

This healthy chocolate mug cake recipe take minutes to make.  It is gluten-free, and can be made with no added sugar.  Perfect for breakfast, brunch, dessert, a healthy snack.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 egg free range
  • 1 banana
  • 3 tbsp almond flour
  • 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Peel and smash the banana into a small bowl with the back of a fork or a pastry cutter.
  • Crack the egg into the bowl and mix it in. 
  • Add the almond flour, cocoa powder, and chocolate chips and stir. 
  • Spray a microwave-safe mug or dish (I used two small dishes so I could make one for my preschooler!) with non-stick oil.
  • Pour the batter into the mug or dishes. 
  • Microwave for 90 seconds on high if you're using shallower dishes.
  • If you're using a deeper mug, after 90 seconds, stop and microwave in 30 second bursts until done (will take around 2 1/2 minutes).
  • Wait a minute or two if you can and enjoy!
